Bangladesh lost openers after the home side won the toss and elected to bat first in the first one-dayer in Mirpur stadium on Thursday.
Mohammad Hafeez and Umar Gul took one wicket each for Pakistan. Shahriar Nafees and Mushfiqur Rahim were at the crease with Bangladesh score eight runs for two wickets.
Earlier, Mushfiqur Rahim chose to bat in the one-day series opener against Pakistan, giving his spinners last use of the Mirpur pitch.
Bangladesh were boosted by the return of Tamim Iqbal, who recovered from the knee injury that kept him out of the Twenty20 international. The hosts also chose Shahriar Nafees, and left out Alok Kapali and Imrul Kayes from the XI that lost the T20.
Pakistan also made two changes to the T20 XI. Wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmed and Younis Khan, who is retired from the shortest format, came into the side for Asad Shafiq and Sohail Tanvir.
